GBE houses three on-site test rooms, each fitted with SIT certified instrumentation that periodically undergo calibration and checking.
Highly qualified GBE engineers can perform the majority of testing and measurements at your site. This allows transformers to be verified directly at the installation site.
Should any of your transformers malfunction or become damaged, GBE can quote for the repair service and replace any components necessary.
GBE offers a callout service for all transformers throughout Europe and outside the EC. A highly qualified engineer for each type of transformer, reactor, dry-type or oil, for distribution, or special power can perform on site maintenance.
Transformers from 250kVA to 1600kVA in various voltage ratios are stored in our warehouse for immediate delivery. We have also stock multi-voltage transformers for emergency situations.

For over 25 years, GBE: Leading transformer manufacturers in the UK of cast resin and VPI transformers from models producing just a few kVA right up to major units.
Formerly Italian-owned but now a British and Irish company, we still rely on world-leading machinery and equipment manufactured in three production facilities based in the Vicenza region.
Our products include the following:
- Cast Resin and VPI Transformers from a few kVA to 30MVA, in all voltage classes up to 52kV (BIL 250KV)
- Oil Filled Transformers from 50kVA to 50MVA, 145kV (650kV BIL)
- Air Insulated, Resin and Oil Reactors, with and without magnetic core from a small kVAr value up to 10 MVAr
- Transformers with amorphous core from 100kVA up to 2500kVA
